A stone’s throw from the Cutty Sark, the Spanish Galleon enjoys a prime spot in the centre of historic Greenwich and displays a wealth of artefacts, maps and other curiosities relating to the area’s naval heritage.
Designed and built by Joseph Kay in 1834, in the reign of William IV, the pub has always been named the Spanish Galleon.
The historic building survived World War I and the Blitz with minor damage and has been refurbished to offer modern facilities while retaining many of its original architectural features.
Authentic Kentish beer remains a popular feature with distinctive cask ales kept in perfect condition. There is also a good selection of wines.
This is a traditional pub which supports the local community through sponsorship of the Greenwich Tritons triathletes club and offers a warm welcome to tourists visiting the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
The Spanish Galleon regularly shows televised football, rugby, cricket, tennis, golf and cycling.
Wednesdays: quiz night
Every other Sunday: live music
